Make Your Life Easier!

I chose a gorgeous venue for our kiddo’s 3rd birthday that did all the heavy lifting for us. All I needed to do was bring snacks and or finger food.

This is my first go-round as a parent. And all signs are pointing to us being One & Done (By Choice).

Maybe in part due to that decision, I can spend a bit more on celebrations for my only. Even if he wasn’t an only, after what I know now, I’d budget for a photographer for birthday parties. Maybe any family gathering. There’s no way I had the presence of mind to take photos of the setup, let alone get someone to take photos I like of my little triangle family.

How cute is this dinosaur themed tablescape??? The staff set this up and used their own props.

Our little guy definitely blew the candle out before The Birthday Song concluded so it was great to relight it so our photographer could get a crisp shot. He enjoyed it, too. We would not have thought to do that on our own!

Though many of my closest friends are also professional photographers, I like them to relax during events. Upon researching the venue, I noticed one local photographer tagged in their Instagram so I reached out months ago. Neptune was warm and available and I am SO happy with my decision to hire her.

Some of these sneak peek photos show how in awe our newly minted 3 year old was. Since he was born about 6 months prior to pandemic lockdown, this is his first real birthday party.

Here’s some action shots of the big day. It’s the first time in Casey’s life that he socialized with multiple kids as well as adults. My spouse pointed out the fact that everyone present is someone he’s spent time with before. He has a history of being in clear distress around others so this was a huge step in his personal growth. I really think since I was relaxed and not feeling pressure to take pics and video, it helped keep the mood mellow and chill.

Look at that precision! He was so proud of himself.

Should I post more pics when I get the final gallery? Do you have any questions about this venue or hiring a photographer?

Let me know! I hope to blog more frequently. Thanks for reading!
